Love Passion. Love Place. Love Poetry: Come Into My Place by Melissa Emily Mitchell

Love is Rhythmic
Love is Sensual
Love is Authentic
Love is Radiant
Love is Zesty
Love is Fulfillment
Love is King (and I am Queen)
Love is ….
The Way You Make Me Feel

The beats of my heart
Are as loud as the African drums that speak
When you come around
My mouth becomes moist
As I inhale and exhale your sweet scent
Imagining how delicious you taste
My palms become sweaty
As I imagine you loving me
Slowly touching and teasing me
Caressing and pleasing me
My knees become weak
As you ask me to be your eternal Nubian queen
To have and to hold till death we part
As I accept my entire body is at freeze
A stand still, my body is frozen
From my hair follicles to my ten toes on my two feet
But it is not cold feet, I say
My body is burning hot
Hot because you got me on fire
360° degrees inside a cold, cold world
Tell me how LOVE makes you feel Bloggers.....

I am singing a song of love moments where intellect meets sensuality filled with passion and pleasure.  I am recognizing and embracing the power of mind sex.

So sing with me to a tune called:
                                                                                               A Love Anthem
Let me stroke you like the morning breeze
On a warm summer day
Underneath the tree
Let that be our hideaway
We can talk about the moon
We can talk about the stars
We can talk about our past
And how we’ve become who we are
I wanna rock your mind
And make love to your soul all night long
I wanna cuddle with your intellect
And I’ll return the warmth with my intelligence
Let’s explode with honesty and integrity
And end the love session with sincerity
I wanna rock your mind
And make love to your soul all night long
I wanna caress your sensitiveness
And as I listen to your story
Let you know you are not alone
Let’s have a mental love session
You bring the knowledge and I’ll bring the truth
Together we can slowly make melodies of true love

When's the last time you sang to your lover with the mental rather than the physical, tell me Bloggers....
A note from Adam Greenberg, Staff Editor of The Clifton Journal:

"Mitchell doesn't hold back in this sexually charged book of poetry. She runs a gamut of emotions; from love and lust to confusion and anger. Poems like The Way You Make Me Feel and Fulfillment border on erotic and might make more inhibited readers blush. Most importantly, Mitchell has a genuine passion behind her strong female voice and that will keep readers wanting to find out what she will say next."

What Are People Saying about “Come Into My Place: A Collection of Love Poems”

A couple of weeks ago I was asked by a friend if I would attend a book release party with him, for an author I had never heard of before. When I heard the subject was poetry I was a little wary, thinking that this might be the typical imitation of something deep, or when I heard the author was a woman, I prayed it wasn’t going to be some man-hating "chick-lit" work condemning anyone of the male persuasion to the wrath of her scorn. Yeah, I’m a cynic at times and to say the least I was just planning on going through the motions to support a friend. I can’t begin to tell you how wrong I was, nor how my expectations were exceeded. After the initial hand-shaking and mingling, I was blessed with the opportunity to hear the author read selected works from her opus. She spoke so passionately that you'd think she was making them up on the spot, but you knew it impossible because the web of words was too intricately woven. You could see that this was an artist who was giving us everything she had right there, live and in-living color. For me that's the litmus test of any work, to have someone who believes in what they're doing. For every verb she launched and every sentence she spoke, I was struck by something that reminded me of that feeling I got the first time I read a line from Langston, or a heard a verse from Biggie...it was pure, it was grounded, and I related. And that’s really all I needed to witness. I instantly became a fan.

This book is amazing I can read it over and over again, and will never get sick of it, you can relate to the poems in soo many ways, it touches you in ways that you cannot express. I loved every poem! It’s amazing how every poem has a meaning to it, it is all life related and going through moments and experiences in your life. (Melissa keep up the good work and all the best of Luck to you and your Career GOD BLESS YOU!) You deserve everything good coming your way. Can’t wait for the next book.

This is the most intimate collection of poems I have ever read. She lays her heart out and you can't help but feel her joy, sorrow, pain, and pleasure. Courageous, honest, and deeply in touch with her feelings - Melissa leaves me breathless. Dare I go on to read yet another poem? I don't know what to expect, but I can't seem to stop. So I read the whole book in one sitting. And I feel spent. Her poems touch me in unexpected places of my mind, heart, body, and soul. A must read for those who want to find their way back to 'their place.' Thanks Melissa, for sharing so generously with us.
